It has been a little over 30 years since Rabindranth and Rabindrashangeet became an integral part of my life. I was first introduced to Rabindrashangeet when legendary Tagore exponent Kalim Sharafi taught the song ‘Alo Amar Alo Ogo Alo Bhuban Bhora in my first formal Rabindrasangeet Class at Sangeet Bhaban in 1983. Since then I have kept on learning songs after songs. Initially it was the melody, rather than the lyrics, that attracted me the most. ….. (more)
