Humanitarian Delivery Flight 2015

Provide winter clothes and blankets to disadvantaged people of Bangladesh

In collaboration with Boeing Bangladeshi employees, in 2015 SpaandanB completed another round of relief material distribution in Bangladesh using the Humanitarian Delivery Flight program of Boeing company. This time Bangladesh Biman purchased two Boeing aircrafts which made their maiden journey on December 3rd and December 24 of 2015. 150 Boxes of relief materials weighing about 3000 lbs, which includes blankets, lightly used Sarees and children clothes, were sent on board these aircrafts. Since the container size was relatively smaller this time, the materials were collected primarily by the Bangladesh community living in the vicinity of Boeing company in Seattle.

SpaandanB Bangladesh office received the materials in Bangladesh on Dec 9 and Dec 29 of 2015 at the Shah Jalal International Airport of Dhaka. They quickly released the cargo after completing the necessary paper works. The boxes were sorted and dispatched to different locations for distribution. The distribution work was carried out by SpaandanB officials, Boeing employees and Forum-86.
