Entrepreneurship Initiative
"empowering and enabling untapped talent population to succeed in entrepreneurial ventures"
SpaandanB Entrepreneurship Program aims at unleashing the immense potential of a large pool of untapped talent across Bangladesh.
In 2011, we implemented a pilot project, termed Entrepreneurship Contest (EC) 2011. The major goal of the pilot entrepreneurship project was to empower, enable, and incent targeted student demographics in their quest to launch successful enterprises. We identified, screened, and funded 3 projects at seed level from a pool of over 80 proposals. The pilot was a resounding success and now we are poised to extend the project reach and expand the fund target. In addition to seed-fund worthy enterprises, we are also determined to create a mechanism for the aspiring entrepreneurs to learn business savvy, gain access to capital, and be exposed to active mentorship.
We have unabashedly taken on this ambitious project because we firmly believe in the creativity, aptitude, and resilience of people in Bangladesh. However, the fulfillment of our vision hinges largely upon active partnership with each one of you. While we gratefully acknowledge your copious support over the years, now, more than ever, we need your unqualified championship to bring this vision to fruition.
