Badhan
Badhan is a voluntary blood donors' organization that raises awareness about blood donation and matches blood donors with patients who need blood. A totally non-political organization, Badhan was established in 1997 in Dhaka University. It is run by volunteers and has presence in 17 universities and colleges in Bangladesh including Dhaka University, BUET and Rajshahi University. Considering the emergency, Badhan has undertaken flood relief efforts using its volunteer force. They are distributing basic food packages, oral saline and medicines to the flood victims in various areas, including Rupganj, Manikganj and Sirajganj.

Hunger Project - Bangladesh
The Hunger Project is a strategic organization and global movement committed to the sustainable end of world hunger. The Hunger Project - Bangladesh has 38,000 volunteers spread all over Bangladesh. Considering the emergency, these volunteers have participated in flood relief efforts.
Your donations allowed Hunger Project - Bangladesh to distribute packets of vegetable seeds to 8,800 flood affected families in 11 districts. Each packet contained several kinds of seeds and instructions on how to best produce the vegetables. The combination of seeds was carefully chosen based on the vegetable season and time & effort required for production. Each packet is meant to support the family's need for vegetables and generate some income for the family. Hunger Project volunteers are monitoring the progress of the project and helping families achieve the best outcome.

Sandipan
Sandipan will provide powder milk to children in two flood affected areas in Dhaka. Milk will be provided to approximately 300 children for 3 months. Each child will receive 2 kgs (~4.5 lbs) of powder milk per month. In addition, Sandipan will distribute oral saline packets and water purifying tablets to the flood victims.

This committee is helping people in Sylhet, one of the worst hit areas. This is a totally voluntary effort and the overhead cost is zero!

- Water purification: The faculty members at the SUST Chemistry department have done extensive research to identify the simplest procedure of water purification. SUST is distributing the necessary chemicals along with directions in small packages to flood victims.
