CONTEST  DETAILS


The Contest is comprised of two rounds of selection. The process begins by registration of the participants of the team after which a “code” would be sent to all teams via sms :

In the First Round submission of business proposal is open to anyone meeting the eligibility criteria and consists of an Executive Summary. It is important to note that the submission of the proposal should not disclose the name of the university; instead the code number sent via sms should be used in the proposal.

After a round of judging by industry experts, ten finalists will move on to the Final Round following a workshop being conducted with them.

The deliverables due during the final round include a full business plan + cover sheet and a PowerPoint Presentation on the given topic. These deliverables will undergo a final round of judging before any cash prizes are awarded. Additional specifics around each of these areas are included below.

    1. Social impact of the idea
    2. Clarity of idea
    3. Sustainability of business model
            a. Analysis of opportunity
            b. Growth strategies
    4. Task breakdown, corresponding timeline and fund utilization
    5. Winner will receive money only on a milestone basis, as required during implementation of business plan

Details of Proposal Submission

•   All entries must be submitted in electronic format via the web based submission tool – no paper entries will be accepted. When submitting the proposal on the website save it with the title name of your proposed business. Registration can be done here.
•   Entries must be received on time and in the appropriate format

                -   First Round : March 14, 2011-March 31, 2011

                -   Final Round : April 30, 2011


The decision of the Organizing committee regarding late or non-conforming submissions is final.

The projects and operations of SpaandanB are funded by conscionable and generous donors from all over the world. Expatriate Bangladeshis living in the USA constitute a major portion of the donors.
