Devastating floods hit Bangladesh in July
2004. More than 600 people died and 30 million people were left
homeless or stranded! The water has receded, but the flood victims
are left with the arduous task of rebuilding their lives.
SpaandanB is working with several partners to help the flood victims.
We are helping with basic necessities, such as food and medicine.
We are also helping people to start income generating activities
by providing them seedlings, animals for rearing, etc. Our partner
organizations are chosen carefully based on various criteria, of
which the most important are reliability, effectiveness of the relief
efforts and low overhead cost.
