SpaandanB is working to help the cyclone
victims with basic necessities, such as food, medicine, and winter
clothing. We are
also planning to help cyclone affected people in rehabilitation.
We work with partner organizations to carry out the relief
activities. Our partner organizations are chosen carefully based
on various criteria, of which the most important are
reliability, effectiveness of the relief efforts and low
overhead cost. We are working with a number of partners currently. Based on total funds raised, the number

Details about current partner organizations and their activities
are listed below.

ALIVE is a non-profit voluntary organization established in
1996. Some committed and energetic youngsters, who had a dream
to positive change in the society, established the organization
named Association of Local Internal Vision Enlightenment (ALIVE)
with a view to empowering and developing the social status of
the oppressed, deprived and underprivileged people towards the
contribution in national development process. Since then, ALIVE
started its socio-economic development activities for rural poor
community in different areas at Jhenidah district of Bangladesh.
ALIVE has been increasing its development activities
implementing various programs and projects sponsored by Local
Government, some local elites & its own Funds.

BUET-88 Club is a non-political non-profit association of the alumni students of the Engineering and Architecture faculty BUET (Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology) who graduated in 1988 and 1989. Besides being an organization that fosters friendship among fellow members, it extends helping hands to the community from its inception. It is a platform empowered by the strong bondage of BUET friendship to pay back to the society in whatever form and whenever need arises, In 2004, after the devastating flood in Bangladesh, BUET-88 Club took initiative to organize rehabilitation programs for the affected people of Hajigonj and Shahrasti Upazila of Chandpur district through the monetary support of SpaandanB.
BUET-88 Club is doing similar activities for 2007 flood victims
and cyclone victims.

The Hunger Project is a global, strategic
organization committed to achieving a sustainable solution to end
world hunger. The Hunger Project - Bangladesh (THP-B) has 38,000
animators (volunteers) spread all over Bangladesh which makes them
very effective for nationwide emergency relief project implementation.
During the flood in 2004 and 2007, SpaandanB worked with THP-B for post flood
rehabilitation and was considerably satisfied with the outcome.
Dr. Badiul Alam Mojumdar along with a
small team went to Borguna district. SpaandanB representative
Mr. Mustafiz also went with the team. The team took sharis and
lungis for 1000+ families.

Sandipan is an organization founded by few dedicated social workers
for the special cause of helping distressed people in the time
of calamities. It is a non-political, non-government organization
run by volunteers. It was formed in 2004 to perform relief work
for flood affected people. Sandipan supported a milk-powder program
for six months to 300+ mal-nourished children and ran a small scale
loan program among the weavers in Kumarkhali, Kushtia. Sandipan
is also currently doing some flood rehabilitation projects with
SpaandanB.
Sandipan has sent two
relief teams to the cyclone affected. The first team comprises
of activists from Kustia, Jessore, and Khulna, and started from
Khulna. They visited Khulna and Bagerhat district areas. The
second team started from Dhaka for Barishal, Borguna, and
Patuakhali. Both the team carried dry food, water purifying
tablets, and winter cloths. The Dhaka team carried 1200kh Chira,
