Millions in
Bangladesh suffer the cold weather in winter specially those without warm
clothes and the elderly. Every year, many organizations in Bangladesh,
along with the government, try to provide blankets, sweaters and warm
clothes to the underprivileged people. But their help is far from
being sufficient.
In an effort to raise fund to provide blankets to the poor, SpaandanB
Austin partners with Rotary Club of Dhaka every year and we
ask you to sponsor as many blankets as you can to support the
cause.

SpaandanB Austin raised $1200 in 2011 and $3500 in 2010 for its Winter Blanket project.
Hundreds of blankets have been distributed in 2010/2011/2012 during some of the coldest winter in Bangladesh history through our partner Rotary club of Dhaka in several remote areas.

2010 distribution:

4. Banderban: 50 Blankets,10 Shaal
5. Nikonchori: 50 Blankets,10 Shaal
6. Cox's Bazar: 50 Blankets,10 Shaal
7. Nogorbari Chaur: 263 Blankets,20 Shaal
Rotary Club of Dhaka, was chartered in February 26th, 1938. The club organizes a winter clothes drive every winter and distributes them in the worst affected areas like Rangpur.
